Caroburg Chargers

Finally managed to add an Ogre and a couple of throwers to the team. I could still probably do with adding a Halfling, it will need to be one of the older models as the new plastics are of a slightly larger scale. The Ogre is a non-GW version for Spiker. A very nice resin piece. The 2 throwers are from the 3rd edition boxed set.

I just need to finish off a few more figures for my Goblin team and I will have my 3 teams completed in readiness for Season 2.

H'angus The Bull

To try and cover as many options for  my Chaos Chosen team, I picked up another 3d printed minotaur. Instead of using black for the flesh like the Beastmen I went for a dark red.

I also had an idea to create a Chaos Champion and to use the rules in Death Zone to create my own star player. The base of the model is one of the Khorne blockers, removed a few of the spikes amd replaced the head. Just need to think of a suitable name.

As the league slowly draws to a close, 2 more games were completed

Cleaveland Bronze bt Tir na nOg Ravens 1-0
A bruising encounter for the Ravens, as once again they struggled without the ball taking a ton of casualties. The Bronze secured the win and have eyes on a top 4 finish

Gryphon Bloodsox drew LV Raiders 1-1
The Bloodsox are still in search of their first win, throwing away victory in the final turn as the Raiders secured the draw and 3rd place.

A Treeman

With the league suspended over the festive period, it was an opportunity to add another big guy to the collection. This time a Treeman, which I can use with my existing Wood Elf team or even make a possible start on a Halfling team

It is a 3d printed model that was kindly donated by one of the club members. Quite a simple paint job to get him ready for the playing field.

Hopefully next week the league will resume, there are a couple of games planned.

Minotaur and a friendly game

With having both a Chaos Chosen and Renegade team it seemed a little amiss not to have a Minotaur. So I picked up a 3d printed model for a very reasonable sum. I painted him up to match the Renegade team colours, but with a little red  added he should be fine for the Chosen team as well.

I'm quite happy with how he has turned out. He has even been nicknamed 'Rocky'.

Also on Thursday I had a friendly game with Sean, who was wanting to try out his new Norse side, so I duly took him on with the 'Da Bad Moon Blitz' Orc team. After taking an early 2-0 I had to settle for 2-1. There were significant casualties on both sides. The Yeti with claws is very effective getting through normally tough Orc armour, A few pictures from the game.

New Troll

As I was not totally happy with the Troll on my Chaos Renegade team (He will be moved to the Goblin team). I picked up a 3D print Chaos Troll. This model is quite a beast and much more impressive.

In the pipeline I have 2 more Blitzers for my Orc team. I'm also putting together a Dwarf and a second Skaven team using mainly 2nd and 3rd edition figures.

Rat Ogre

Mitch at the club got himself a 3D printer and generously provided me with a Rat Ogre and the Star player Hakflem. So I decide to get the Rat Ogre done. It is a beast of a figure and has to be on a 40mm base. Not much of an issue as my Skaven team are the old 3rd edition on 25mm bases.

He will replace the existing 2nd edition Rat Ogre in the team. I also took the opportunity to paint up more balls.

2 are from the Dark Elf  sprue and the other is from the 3rd edition boxed set. I now need to complete my Necromantic team.
